The UNSW Squash Club caters for those with a range of experiences allowing members to play competitively or socially.

The club offers practice courts to members and opportunities to participate in social practice games, internal round robins or competitions.

Based at UNSW Fitness and Aquatic Centre in Kensington, UNSW Swimming Club is run by volunteers, supported by professional staff and coaches and the excellent facilities at UNSW.

The club encourages everyone to join, whether you're looking to swim socially or compete nationally and internationally.

UNSW Taekwondo Club

Improve your health, physical endurance, balance, confidence and alertness of mind with the martial art renowned for spectacular spinning kicks and devastating power.

The UNSW Taekwondo Club trains everyone from white belt beginner to national and internationally certified black belts.

The club combines both the traditional discipline of the Taekwondo in order to harness its real-world applications, as well as focusing on the sport and fitness that have become a major component in recent years

Taido

UNSW Taido Club

Taido is a Japanese martial art that focuses on agility, strategy and counter techniques in three dimensions to defeat an opponent. Movements emphasise evasion rather than blocking, minimising damage and making the art suitable for all ages and sizes.

Founded in 1997, UNSW Taido is known for their easygoing nature, great spirit and excellent performances at international performances. 

Target Rifle

UNSW Target Rifle Club

Re-established in 2018, UNSW Target Rifle Club is a place for people to try, learn and compete in the sport of Rifle Shooting!

Our club mainly focuses on Fullbore Target Rifle, a discipline which involves shooting at a stationary target from distances from 300m to 1km, using .308 calibre rifles and a sling to support the rifle. Most of our activities run at ANZAC Rifle Range at Malabar, 10 minutes away from UNSW. We welcome new shooters and we run try shooting sessions to anyone interested

Bringing tennis to both students and non-students of all abilities.

Their social tennis competitions are a great opportunity to meet new people and form long lasting friendships.

There are also competitive opportunities available, through local Eastern Suburbs competitions, Intervarsity Games and more.

UNSW Touch Club

UNSW Touch (mens and womens) caters for all levels ranging from beginners to Australian representatives. 

Register on your own, with a friend or with a whole team and get playing. 

Play in a social competition or refine your skills and play in the weekly Vawdon Cup and/or the annual State Cup competition.

Ultimate Frisbee

UNSW Ultimate Club

Think of that fast, fun and friendly flying disc (frisbee) you used to play with as a kid. Now imagine playing it with a team. Welcome to the wonderful world of ultimate frisbee. 

Players pass the frisbee from team mate to team mate until someone catches it in the endzone (something like a cross between gridiron and netball, minus the balls).

If you're looking for a challenge, push yourself in the training sessions for Uni Nationals.

Or if you're a beginner, join in with social games and friendly coaches will guide you through the drills and skills.

Underwater

UNSW Underwater Club

The UNSW Underwater Club is well renowned as then best way to go down on campus.

Members gain opportunities to dive safely, cheaply and often through regular night dives, regular weekend trips and boat dives to places like Jervis Bay. 

The club also offers cheap gear hire, PADI accredited dive courses through Sydney Dive Academy and refresher SCUBA dives.

Membership is open to students, staff, alumni and members of the public. 

Underwater Rugby

Underwater rugby is a fast paced, three-dimensional team sport where players jostle underwater to get the ball into a basket at the bottom of the pool. Underwater rugby is traditionally played in a 5m deep pool, however, UNSW also play in a 2m and 4m deep pool.

Each team has 6 players in the water: 2 forwards, 2 defenders and 2 goalies. Each player wears a mask, snorkel and fins.

The club offers social and competitive games, and skilled players have the opportunity to play for the Australian team at the World Championships every 4 years. Our UNSW Whales A team is currently ranked #1 in Australia.

Membership is open to both UNSW students and non-students.

UNSW Volleyball Club

The UNSW Volleyball Club is one of the largest and oldest university volleyball clubs in Sydney. It has a proud history stretching over 30 years, which includes a number of Australian University, Sydney Volleyball League and State Cup titles, and a host of representative players including State players.

The club welcomes students and non-students, locals and internationals and games at both social and competitive levels.

The club's marquee teams compete in the Sydney Volleyball League - results and fixtures available on the website.
